Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using the services of Ipswich Painting and Decorating you are entering into a contract with us and agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
“We,” “us,” and “our” means Ipswich Painting and Decorating, “you,” “the client,” “the customer,” and “your” means the person who requested our services and enters into this contract.
The agreed-upon final estimate represents a written contract for the actual work to be completed at a price quoted. Any changes requested verbally are not covered by the agreement unless they are written into the contract. will not enter into any dialogue, accept any requests, or communicate with anyone other than the client without express permission in writing. Agreeing to the quote electronically or any other means signifies a full acceptance and commitment to these terms and conditions.
Every quotation represents the requests by the client. We will not be held liable for any task not included in the written quote.
The client must choose colours and sign a colour choice agreement one (1) week before the start date. Ipswich Painting and Decorating will charge an additional cost for colour changes made after work begins.
We assume that plastering beneath papered walls or ceilings is in good condition and is suitable for the treatment specified, therefore Ipswich Painting and Decorating does not make provision for plastering repairs. The cost of repairs and renewals of any defects that are not visible at the time of estimating will be billed unless we include an allowance for such items in the contract.
We will provide all necessary materials and labour per proposal specifications. Ipswich Painting and Decorating is not responsible for the performance or suitability of any materials, parts, or products purchased directly by the client.
Change orders or additional work orders become part of the contract once the order is prepared in writing and signed by the parties before commencement of any work covered by the new change order or additional work order. The order shall describe the extra work or change and the cost added or subtracted from the contract. Any changes made to the property without notifying us may cause a delay in the work until we can determine a price for any changes.
Estimated completion times are subject to change. Although we will endeavour to complete the work within the time frame intimated, we will not be held liable for failure to meet the scheduled jobs within the projected time frame.
It is the responsibility of the client to remove valuable or fragile items from the areas to be decorated, remove pictures and other items hanging from the wall, and remove electrical goods from the places where we will carry out work. Ipswich Painting and Decorating can assist with the repositioning or removing bulky furniture items and goods; however, we do not move (indicate items that you will not move here, such as Grandfather clocks, flat screen TVs, valuable artwork, or fragile furnishings).
The client agrees to notify Ipswich Painting and Decorating in writing or by email at least 48 hours before the project start date if they must cancel. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the project start date, Ipswich Painting and Decorating will charge a cancellation fee, plus the costs of any materials purchased for your project.
At the time you hire Ipswich Painting and Decorating, you will be charged 10% of the project fee. Ipswich Painting and Decorating will charge the remaining ninety percent the day the painter completes painting services. If Ipswich Painting and Decorating does not receive a written complaint from you within three (3) days of project completion, then the project will be marked closed. At such time, no refund will be made for any part of the project fee.
Ipswich and Surrounds' Painting and Decorating, will automatically charge a 10% if invoices are not paid on time.
Upon the failure of the client to pay within a reasonable amount of time; we will employ the services of a debt collection agency. The client accepts that they must incur any costs in connection with the recovery of an unpaid bill. Once the debt passes to the debt collection agency, we cannot reverse the process or any associated fees.
